Baleenkitchen - Table reservation

I went to BaleenKitchen on Saturday for DineLA and found out that they don't do DineLA on the weekends!!! I've been there for DineLA only on weekends in the past since most of us humans work during the week. This was not noted on the DineLA link while making a reservation. The food has always been good in the past but this time it was not memorable and I'll probably not go back there again though I really like the restaurant for special occasions the last years. That is very unfortuate.

For our first time experience, it was wonderful. Service, food ambience could not have been better! Kudos to our waiter Jared H. manager Michael for making my birthday dinner a very special experience. It was so good in fact, we have agreed to return this coming Sunday evening for dinner with friends who have a boat in the marina!!!

The location was good, the food was good, the service was very very slow. They had extra people preparing a banquet room, and they could have helped, while the room was not used. But no. The food is okay, the service will make me think twice.

The table provided was one of the smallest along the back wall with no view and too windy to have candles The menu is outdated and quality of the food was a star, pricing is not inline with quality, very poor.

Fantastic food. Love the new menu! The Tomahawk steaks are great!
