We had PANGSIT GORENG to start and shared OSENG OSENG TEMP and SAMBAL GORENG TEMPE, all vegan style. It is so refreshing to have a totally vegan meal that is hot and full of flavor!! That being said the Sambal was too spicy for me, so my friend and I picked our favs and stuck with it. The Oseng was a perfect saucy balance for me. Don't rush to get there, but okay to go. Service was very positive at the restaurant but food was just okay. Since I had not had Indonesian food before, I chose the sampler appetizer plate for a variety. However, as with many appetizer plates much of it was fried. I take responsibility for the bad choice but the portion sizes were tiny for the price. My dining partner and I both ordered an alcoholic drink and neither were memorable. One was an ice tea concoction and the other was a martini with lemongrass and ginger. The saving grace of the restaurant was that service was pretty good. The server made recommendations, a dietary substitution and even fixed one of the drinks upon request.
High expectations met (more or less). I grew up in Indonesia, so my expectations were high. The krupuk udang are just the way I remember them, but their bakmi goreng (my childhood favorite) was missing something. The nasi goreng didn 't hit home at all, and I thought it really lacked flavor. Phenomenal pad thai, though! Be sure to take advantage of their Thursday special, Pad Thai Palooza . good food, bad service. I really enjoyed eating in this restaurant, but the service is terrible. my wife and I recently went there and were told that our table would be ready in five minutes and waiting in the bar area. 30 minutes later and no table. When I went back to the innate to see what was on, no one recognized my inestimacy for about 5-10 minutes, so we hunted. this is not the first time we had Scottish service. pity that the service keeps this place from a really great restaurant.
Best place in town for vegans non vegans to eat together extensive very solid menu, has something for everyone ranging from trendy fun (tons of cool of sliders) to traditional healthy (perfect house made tempeh) comforting to spicy just a great selection and it?s all delicious. I seriously crave their curry, the lamb skewers are my kid?s favorite. The rice is always so perfectly cooked. The dishes always have a nice variety of veg the proportions are perfect.
Tasty! Good noodle dishes and satay with rice cakes. Limited options shown on paper menu so be prepared for QR menu ordering. This can cause some confusion as if they are out of an item you won?t be able to find it on the ordering site despite seeing it on the paper menu. Still worth it!
First time trying Bandung, went with the appetizer sampler. Great tastes! The fried tempeh and fried tofu were great. The duck dish is fantastic, perfectly cooked, great sauce (reminiscent of sesame chicken sauce). Can't wait to try more dishes here!!!!
