A group of twenty celebrating a milestone birthday.The service was first class - attentive, with food and drink tabled in very good time. An appreciative time between the entrees and mains - we were not rushed and the dishes were presented at appropriate times.As with all restaurants in this precinct, food and wine/beer etc. are not inexpensive - only to be expected.Certainly, the food was outstanding - all members of our party spoke in positive terms regarding the quality of the dishes.Can certainly recommend - location excellent.
This place has so much wasted potential. I am local to Barangaroo and went to this place for a drink last Friday night. I only wanted a couple of drinks and was rushed in for last drinks. My order was rushed and then it took over 20 minutes to get to my table. I could tell that the host was annoyed that it was a small order. I had visited Banksii a couple of days earlier and ordered a bottle of wine. The wine was of low quality and was quite expensive.
Banksii - named for Sir Joseph Banks, the first botanist to come to Australia, not the graffiti artist - has just opened on the soon-to-be-waterfront edge
Banksii, I think, is still finding it's feetI can't say I had the fine dining experience that I paid for last night.
