The wine list is impressive and well selected along with a good selection of beers on tap and some bottles. This wasy first time at Barans and I was encouraged by the reviews but wasn't totally sure what to expect. The menu seems to work best when sharing plates, and it let's you try quite a few different flavors during the dinner. Our waiter was really great at making recommendations and we ordered everything he suggested. Minor substitutions or exemptions are allowed and literally everything we tried was great, so I can only assume everything is good. Ate here w our kids and had a nice meal. Kids had a buffet designed for them which worked out great and. Ore higher end restaurants should heed this call. $15 each but included lots of choices which kids love as well as deserts and a drink. I had the swordfish which was a bit overdone and a bit tasteless. My wife had the filet which was served over a tomatoe based medley of zucchini and squash which really didn't go with it very well. Read reviews and told side of Russell sprouts was roasted but they arrived steamed and again tasteless. All in the best part of the meal was our excellent waiter. Ate at pacific grille the night before and that meal was a lot tastier.
Quickly has become one of my faves. Inviting, rustic interior, incredibly knowledgeable, friendly family, staff and owners, INCREDIBLE food. And they switch things up regularly so savor the bite on your fork because whatever you love may not be there next time. (Good advice for life actually. From the execution to the presentation to the timing, this place is crushing it. Try the Crudo! In whatever form they have it. It's always phenomenal. Their pasta is spot on... Gnocchi Nero... I'm obsessed with BLACK! The Indian Egg! So so good. And if they ever bring a gazpacho back... I might move in.

best breakfast burrito i've had. as Chef Tyler says, it's all about balance. every bite is full of BAM. I am in love with their red sauce. Good amount of spicy smoky. If you haven't had these burritos yet, you are missing out. Just to give you an idea, there's another spot that is popular for breakfast burritos down the street.... I used to go there too and put up with the long line. I'd much rather wait in line for Baran's breakfast burritos. Just sayin' Follow their Instagram for their weekly lunch special. Highly recommend their cubano sandwich.
Awesome staff with a great vibe. A staple of the Hermosa Beach community that furthers it as a diamond of the south bay. Ive never had a dish of thiers that wasnt exceptional. Quailty is quailty and the cooks a Baran's know it. I just got one of these breakfast burritos on thier current take out menu (due to covid) and ill be damned. Perfect proportions of egg, meat, and veggies. You guys rock. Thanks for satisfying once agian.
Top notch, highest quality food I’ve been served since living in Los Angeles (Jan 2018 to date of this post). Indian egg is a fav. The octopus is superb as well but wasn’t on the menu last time I was there. Nice staff. Classy joint.
As someone who loves breakfast burritos, I can confidently say that this is one of the best (if not the best) I have ever tried. While it may be a bit pricey, it is definitely worth it.
