I have visited this restaurant on many occasions as it caters for coeliac ‘s like my self but on visiting today I would say to anyone avoid at all costs. Myself and my mother were masked on entry and the sign in the entry way...states ring bell on counter. As I approached the counter to do this I can only say I was barked at to sit down please. We went to do this as the lady serving approached saying she didn’t want to be too close to anybody at the moment but whilst not wearing a face covering or visor another covering is not possible. I asked about gluten free and she told me she would have to check the lady returned saying yes I could have it but it would be a wait. I said yes that’s fine...
After a walk around Richmond we called into this chip shop for fish and chips. the fish and chips were lovely some of the best chips I have eaten and the fish wasn't too bad either with a good portion of scraps on the side....Biggest shock was the price I expected much higher. Well happy The girl serving seemed a little off when we walked into the chippy but i think i just miss read her thank you.
Walking home on Tues we decided on fish and chips as the evening was sunny and we could eat outside. 3 staff on, not one said hello, we ordered 2 x small fish and chips and were told no small left. No prob we'll have...standard then. No thank yous or goodbyes. I've seen thicker shoe insoles than the fish we both had and think we were charged standard and given small. Won't be using again.
Despite the initial confusion and lack of information, the food was actually quite good. It was fresh, hot, and we really enjoyed it. While it didn't quite measure up to our favorite local fish and chip spot, the portion sizes were decent and the food was worth the price. Although we probably wouldn't rush back, there are plenty of good pubs in Richmond to choose from.

Had chippy tea before going to cinema in Richmond. Great choice, all freshly cooked,good sized portions, great value for money. Will definitely stop in past again the next time we're in Richmond. Keep up the great work, quality and service. Ps Belfast was a great...movie
The exterior and the staircase leading to the restaurant may be a bit worn and marked, but the fish and chips were fresh, hot, and delicious. The young girl who served us was extremely pleasant, helpful, and always had a smile on her face!
I am pretty sure the deep fat fryer is actually a vat of hydrochloric acid. The manager refills it with his forehead sweat and possibly leave-in conditioner from the previous night. Proper rude staff need to be put down.
I wish we had come back, but not what we do. check the picture of dense, very tedious, tasteless diligent. we threw the fish out. chips were not solid/fresh. Scabby bits. didn't have that kind of f

Ordered 3 portions that were gluten free. Sat downstairs. Simple and tasty for a good price. The batter was really good and overall it wasn’t too heavy. Will be back again when next in town
We purchased fish and chips from Barkers while visiting Richmond. They were delicious. The seating area is small for those who prefer to dine in.
