Terrible service and cold food. Seems to me the managers should either poke their heads out of the back once in a while or walk the dining room to see how people are being treated. No, the guest should not have to get up and go ask for straws or ketchup or tea refills or anything else for that matter, as I saw in another review response. The hostess eventually took our drink order after noticing our waitress was MIA. Waitress finally showed up to take our order. When the food came out my fries were cold and sandwich was soggy on the bottom. Which I suppose means it sat back there for a good bit before being brought to us. I let her know the next time she decided to grace us with her presence...
We ate here 11/7/23 and Alyssa was our server. The food here is great , the service however, was not. You don’t “earn” a tip just because you deliver some food and your job is done. We had to ask for a glass of water, we had to deliver the check back to our server because she was always nowhere to be found. Alyssa was more busy joking with other staff members or new guests to check even once to see if our food was good or if we needed anything. But, again, the food is good but we won’t be back because of the exceptionally slow and uninterested service.
The artichoke cheesecake dip was absolutely fantastic. The service was exceptional as well. We visited after a wedding rehearsal, and they did a remarkable job accommodating our large group. The food, drinks, and service were all top-notch. Thank you, Blackwater Bistro; you truly are a gem! They also have a charming veranda overlooking the park and parking lot for outdoor dining. Overall, an excellent dine-in experience!

This delightful restaurant is nestled in an old house and offers a generous dose of Southern hospitality. I tried the gumbo, muffuletta, and lobster ravioli, and the bread on the sandwich was the best I've ever had. The service was prompt and cheerful! If you're driving along IH 10, make sure to stop and discover this hidden gem!
Had a bad experience, tried them again and regretted it. Service is slow and the waiter even forgot about my order, food does not taste great when you actually get it (25) minutes after your party does. Not a highly recommended place to eat Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2
My boyfriend and I visited this restaurant for brunch, but unfortunately, the food was inedible. I ordered the eggs Benedict, and the egg was completely uncooked. The atmosphere was decent, but the disappointing food overshadowed the experience.
