just been back as the lockdown is easing. First off they have taken all the sensible precautions including hand sanitiser as you walk in, 2m between a reduced number of tables, all staff wearing masks, paper single use menus, cutlery only put out once you are seated. This is VERY reassuring that they are taking thinks seriously. I have been to this restaurant many times and it never fails me. I went for completely different selections tonight and was not disappointed. The food is always excellent. We had a Curry night for our football club Springhill United FC and was recommended by someone at our club who had used them before. They didn't let us down. Delivering on time and the food was exceptional with people going up for seconds and thirds it was that good. We had a lad who required a glutton free meal and that was no problem and a Lamb Bhuna was recommended which was thoroughly enjoyed. Will definitely use them again for sure and will visit them on my next date night with the Wife. Keep up the good work
Went to this restaurant tonight for the first time. Wow. Food was amazing and the staff were very professional. They made us feel very welcome. This certainly will be a place to revisit more than once. Beautiful place to eat as well. Air conditioning was so welcome in this heatwave but we didn’t get cold like some places. With the Covid virus still around I was impressed with the clean restaurant, disposable menus, pure white linen and the toilets were immaculate.
We have been going to the British Raj for many years and have never had a bad meal or service. The food is always hot and always tasty. Service is impeccable even when its busy which seems like always with friendly staff who are always attentive and polite. Honestly no idea where all the negative comments come from about the Raj! Having been to many Indian restaurants over the years this one stands out head and shoulders above them all, highly recommended.

We’ve been coming here for years they has never been an off day for the boys of the British Raaj! They never fail to offer an excellent service and their food is exceptional! Managed by the brilliant Sam who makes everyone so welcome but if you are lucky enough to be served by Russell you’ve hit the jackpot!
Brilliant birthday meal on Friday. Sam and his team really looked after us. My food was piping hot and spicy and everyone was pleased with their dishes. The restaurant is covid safe some tables have been removed and whilst shut they even installed new lighting and marble bar. I recommend chefs special.
We used this restaurant to provide a buffet for 40 people. The food was superb and a great price. We popped along a week later for a lovely meal for two and again the food was of great quality. I would highly recommend for the service and the quality of food.
Just returned from The British Raj after yet another family birthday event. The staff were spot on as usual and everything worked well with the COVID restrictions . Hopefully won’t be long before we return . Thanks to all the staff
