I will not be returning to this restaurant! My partner and I ordered two beef sandwiches and a side of fries. The girl taking our order seemed very distracted and got our order wrong, but had time to chat with another employee serving cars in the parking lot. It appeared that everyone had to wait in the parking lot for their orders. When we finally received our food, both beef sandwiches were incorrect. The employee told us to keep the sandwiches because he couldn't take them back. Shortly after, a manager came out and asked what was wrong with the sandwiches. He offered to remake them correctly. However, it turned out that not only were my beef sandwich wrong, but they actually gave us back...
The restaurant is housed in a lovely building with a great atmosphere. It was very clean and well-maintained. Our group of 4 enjoyed trying a variety of dishes on the menu. The beef sandwich is a Chicago classic, topped with delicious Italian bread and tangy paprika. Don't overlook the chicken parm sandwich, which my son absolutely loved. The salads also looked enticing. After a disappointing experience with a bark shell at Portillos, we were pleased with the one at Buona. The presentation and portion size were excellent. We will definitely be returning, as this restaurant has become a Chicago favorite for us.
I would have given this 5 stars but when I got home I discovered my sausage/ protein bowl was 30% cheese and sausage and 70% filled to the brim with roasted oily bell peppers- which I cannot eat ad I am allergic! The slimy peppers are supposed to be only added upon request, but these filled more than half of the Bowl. I will have to carry an epi pen to eat there and live to tell. Other than missing the mark on the protein bowl, the facility is in a good location and it is like a shiny new penny, very clean and well attended.
I am usually a fan of Buona Beef and was excited when they opened a location near me. However, I have been disappointed with the quality several times. I kept giving them a chance, hoping they would improve, but today was just not good. I ordered an Italian beef, fries, and a salad. The fries were not even close to being warm, the salad was supposed to have a grilled bun but instead had a fried crispy bun, even though I specified grilled in my order. I was very disappointed in the overall experience.

Three stars for good food, but I’ve been here 4 times since they opened and they have gotten something wrong in our order every time! I get that mistakes happen, but after the last time I won’t be coming back to this location. Plus their drive thru set up is awful, watch out for the ridiculously high curb! I have both dined in and done drive thru.
Love their food. Hate the service at this location. Came here 3 times within the past 2 months. Each time something was missing on my order. Tonight was no exception. Order a pickup with a time preference and had to wait an additional 15 minutes or so for my missed item
I'm not much of an Italian bark eater. but these cattle are good. the hamburgers are also delicious. I have waited longer than the requested pick-up time for a few orders about their app. I will order food from them again. not often.

I cannot beleive how fresh everything in here tastes. The buffalo chicken salad is amazing, I always get the cheese fries. The milk shake is also amazing. Really nice aervice as well!
