Brasseries are always good in a pinch if you are looking for local dishes and standard fare. There were no surprises here- we had a drink and a waited for our orders which the waiter at least verified when he forgot one. The duck leg with sauerkraut was a roast leg of duck with a mound of sauerkraut and the pork sauerkraut was again; a lot of meat and a mountain of kraut. Opting for the gourmet salad brought a plate of duck liver pate, smoked lox and smoked duck slices on the smallest amount of greens I have ever seen called "salad". Service was neither rushed nor snail paced as the place was full. Any reasonable customer would expect a bit of a wait during a busy lunch service on a weekend...
Passing through Ribeauville on a longer walk, we wanted somewhere to sit in the sun and have a not-too-heavy lunch. Our tartes flambees came quickly, and were fine. Not the best we've had, in that although the bases were crisp and browned, the tops seemed a little less so. That said, mine had plenty of smoked salmon and I enjoyed it.We were eating quite early, and the tables rapidly filled. Our waiter remained pleasant and efficient, though clearly busy. Not a place for great gastronomy, but a pleasant place to sit in this pretty (if touristy) little town.
We sat outside on a warm September day. This cafe is at the start of the main thoroughfare of the town. We had a fairly substantial lunch of Tourte Vigneronne which is a thickly textured minced meat pie and a green salad with half a litre of perfectly acceptable local Pinot Gris.We wee served by a harassed but quite efficient young waiter who deserves a raise, or at least someone to share his work. There are several other places nearby but this looked as good as any.
The location is great to eat out in the square on a sunny day. I had the Alsatian menu which was well served and good value the choucroute and the Munster cheese were great the onion tarte less so but after a nice Pinot Gris well everything seemed a bit better

Perfect lunch freshly made, outstanding price quality, friendly service, you can order food after 14.00 when most other restaurants are closed. Pleasant waiter. We will definetely come back there. English, German and French is spoken.
Waitress was very "cold" with us which surprised us as not in line with the oyher local people we met in shops. Food was just fine for a quick lunch. Interior makes one think of a medieval tavern...very nice atmosphere
It was quite pleasant to visit the Cafe, taste a glass of Creme de Cassiss with an Alsatian local sparkling wine = Crémant d'Alsace (me) or cup of coffee (others), experienced a very helpful waitress...
we had a look around town, and we were feeling hungry. stopped into this brasserie. we ordered normal café food, and some wine. service was ok, meals ok.

We sat here and drank our morning Ricard in the French way, watching the tourists pass by. Great spot with friendly service by the young guy waiter.
Food here is very good. Ate here on two occasions. My only issue is the waiter had little people skills and made me feel unwelcome.
