We were staying at the Sebel so this cafe was nice and close and being a Monday ... one of the few open to choose from.We did breakfast which was quite busy but nothing too crazy, we were seated and orders taken and this is when my pet hates started.First thing to come to table, not our beverages, not the kids meals .... the adults meals!!Apart free m everyone loving their coffee first, getting parents meals delivered before kids DRIVES ME NUTZ!!! Especially while they are hangry.Anyway, food was ok, nothing great .... coffee came toward the end of the meal but was ok also, I think there would be plenty of better options if I had bothered to look ... so take a look :)
During our recent 5-day stay at Docklands in Melbourne, we enjoyed breakfast every morning at Capri Cafe and Lounge at The Sebel. It was a relaxing experience, perfect for sleeping in and breaking your fast. The food was exceptional with a wide variety of traditional breakfast options, including their own delicious smoked trout. The eggs were always cooked perfectly and the garlic thyme mushrooms were a standout dish. The open kitchen allowed us to watch the chefs at work, who appeared happy and relaxed. The prices were very reasonable and the coffee was some of the best we've ever had. Overall, a fantastic way to start the day.
Melbourne is somewhat limited in choice for breakfast on a Sunday morning. This was the only place open for many blocks around when we stayed overnight in the city. Covid has done some damage I guess. The Cafe had a que out the door, was taking around 5 minutes at the counter to serve each individual customer, had no-one clearing tables as they emptied and was a general botch up. When our turn finally came we ordered simple eggs, one arrived 10 minutes before the other. You would need to be desperate to visit here.
This was the restaurant associated with the Sebel Docklands apartments. Hotel restaurants can sometimes be a hit and miss experience but this was a hit. Our six staff had a great breakfast, was reasonably priced and the quality and selection of food quite good. Most importantly, their Eggs Benedict and coffee were just want I wanted. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

My wife and I called in for a coffee and a bite to eat as this place was close to where we were staying we thought we'd give it a try. Service was good our coffee was nice,I ordered a beef burger which was so nice and my wife ordered the corn fritter.We loved our food so much we went back the next day and ordered the same things
Only had breakfast here but the staff were polite and efficient. The usual breakfast food on offer. Just a little disappointed no omelette available but what we had was nice. Eggs poached, eggs fried and eggs scrambled with nicely cooked bacon. It was enjoyable.
We had breakfast here which was included with our stay at The Sebel, and it was awful. I've never had hard boiled poached eggs before, and the sausage was over cooked and burnt. The coffee was weak and terrible. Would not recommend.
My husband and i had breakfast here during our stay at The Sebel and quite enjoyed it. Despite the not so enthusiastic staff serving us, the food was nice and in large portions! Would definitely go back.

This is our local coffee spot. The coffee is great and the staff are as friendly as you can get. We enjoy chatting with them as they make our coffees. Highly recommend.
