As we walked near this Small cute Mexican Restaurant an aroma of good smelling food caught the attention of our noses. Later we realized it was not coming from this restaurant but the Pizza shop next door. We ordered all Tacos, half Pork and Half Carne Asada. Main issue about this restaurant that was disappointing is that the precooked meat just sits there until you order and served all that old dried meat that has been precooked served into your Tacos . The meat in our Tacos was dry. We were hungry and did not feel like waiting any longer so we ate those Tacos. Nice Beach community other Restaurants we will try next time.
Delicious food. Friendly people. Fair prices. Great location with a family-owned, sidewalk cafe kind of vibe. We've been going to Casa Playa for years. We drive up from Huntington Beach and always stop here for the authentic and traditional style Mexican food that is SERVED ON HOT CERAMIC PLATES WITH ACTUAL METAL UTENSILS (not the typical styrofoam box with a plastic fork). You can dine inside or take a table outside on nice days. Either way, the food and service are like a full service restaurant but more of a fast food price. Oh, and great salsa bar too!
4 stars is the exact right rating. Nothing spectacular, but solid and won't disappoint. It's the spot you can grab a taco or burrito from when you're feeling lazy to go the extra mile for something better and feel satisfied about your decision. I had a shrimp burrito and fish taco. Big ole piece of fish on the taco, dece fixins but nothing inspired. Burrito was the better of the two in this yelper's opinion.
Love this awesome, cozy Mexican restaurant in the beautiful Riviera Village. It has a casual vibe and the food is fresh and delicious. There are daily specials which are very reasonably priced. The owners are an incredible couple who end up knowing most of their frequent customers and their favorite orders. I couldn’t recommend this place more enthusiastically!

This is my favorite restaurant. I absolutely love the food and, most importantly, the service here is outstanding. The owners are incredibly kind. It's also conveniently located by the beach, so you can enjoy a meal and then head straight to the water.

Delicious fish tacos, great portion size and salsas! The carnitas tacos are also moist and delicious! The service is attentive and the vibes are great and I love the food we are coming back !!!!!!
