We reserved this restaurant for a 70 yr birthday dinner celebration for 8 people because it 1) near where we were (madulain) (2) it was one of the few still open for the low season (3) it had, according to its website, opened a greater choice in their menu card compared to the other restaurants. we found when we got a limited list in their menu, it was said that everything they have. the food was good we ordered meat, fish, vegetarian, they all tasted also for a simple carving for the children. of this restaurant I have the memory of the beautiful room where we were housed. really beautiful, all for us and very particular in the decor. As for food. I was disappointed but this I think depends so much on the culinary delights of us Italians! In this restaurant, there is an insistent tendency to mix Engadin dishes or we say traditional dishes with something ethnic/eastern, with results not properly adjusted! The main dish I took for example was a very good beef cut, cooked very well, roasted with the sesame. on a bed of soy sauce (!) and a contour of two spring rolls to Cantonese(!!!!). I have listed my experience under Saal, however we enjoyed a lunch on the terrace. I suppose this is done by the lounge/Rote Bar. In any case, it was a very pleasant surprise. I have to admit, it took a little while to get noticed by a server, but after that first little glitch we were taken care of excellently. My salad was tasty and the beef burger they serve, looked and tasted very good. The service was very attentive, friendly and personal.
