We have enjoyed eating here a number of times and the quality of the dishes are excellent. The best feature of Charcoal is that it is more often than not lacking in numbers of patrons. Most definitely does not acquaint to lack of professional service or skimping on produce. Immenselyenjoyed Cape Grim scotch fillets, succulent and rare accompanied with awesome Tasmanian red wines. Four side orders of vegies for balance. Fresh as. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

I had the lamb shoulder with charred green and red-lete. It was really delicious! Tasty, tender lamb and a great portion size. We enjoyed our meals with a great local wine and enjoyed the pleasant service of the staff. I would recommend this place for a great meal if you would like to pay more than $ 35 for a quality mass. Just delightful. Excellent service; Very good meals. Generous serves. Anyone giving this establishment stars should visit Mercers in Eltham VIC. Similar prices, but the ultimate in service and quality. However, not at all disappointed.
This restaurant had a menu with a lot of variety and was moderately priced. The wait staff were attentive and came around to check on us often, but at the same time gave us the space we needed to enjoy our meal.
We had dinner here by default because it was after 8 pm on a Monday night and all the other restaurants in Hobart seemed to be closed or closing.

Excellent food in a relaxed environment, with attentive and friendly service. We'd certainly go back if we're in Hobart again.
