Customer service poor. Sat for 30 mins before someone took our drinks order (after we went up to counter to order). Staff were stressed, dealing with unhappy customers that booking was mucked up and were turned away. Entrees were good dumplings and satay chicken. Had duck salad and tomyum soup for mains. Hardly any salad mostly duck (which some might prefer). Soup wasn't anything special. We ordered a side of bread that didn't come out until we were leaving!!!Average experience. Disappointed as we had heard good things. Wouldn't go back.
You don’t have to travel far for a good green curry with Hobart’s plethora of Thai restaurants. Our surging restaurant scene means you also don’t need to go far from your suburb to enjoy a meal out. Which is why I last ate in Battery Point circa 2003. But I love Thai food and I love a good deal. Monsoon Thai Fusion is in the Entertainment Book so Boozy Friday Friend and I booked in.
On arrival at Monsoon you'll be drenched with the sweet aroma of a busy kitchen with non functional extractor fans. Otherwise you will enjoy an delicious meal, fantastic flavours and exquisitely prepared. Don't miss the kids corner for unsharperned pencils and cold drafts of air from the bathroom. the best Thai food I had. I can even say that it is better than Thai food in Thailand. big statement, but man oh man, that was just delicious. service was excellent. I consider the price as cheap when considering that they do not have to pay for the air cargo to taste Thai food best (better than best.) it must try. enjoy!

I was a little disappointed by my meal, I thought I would get a juicy piece of pork belly, but instead everything I got was barbecued pieces pork, oh good! they need to think I wouldn't notice the difference. on a better note my men red curry was delicious.
Some process problems to work out, a few incorrect orders and staff seem to be stressed a lot of the time, but the tasty food, interior and friendliness of the staff make up for it.
Loved the freshness of the food. Had the crispy pork, duck, satay, and duck pancakes. Thoroughly enjoyed the food and experience. Nice feel to the place, well worth checking out!

definitiw one of the best Thai restaurants I've ever been! beautiful vintage interior decoration. absolutely perfect. highly recommended!
