Based on other Jersey shore restaurants, Charlie's of Bay head should get a 4 to 5 star rating. The food was simple, fresh and tasty. The presentation was also above average for the area. We were very surprised at the lack of training up to the manager. It was very clear that Charlie's wanted to turn tables. Before we ordered drinks we were asked to order food. My ceviche appetiser was almost removed twice from the table while I stopped eating to be a part of our tables conversation. My cousin and I visited this restaurant to celebrate both their anniversary and my wife's and my birthdays. We had made reservations for outdoor seating back in mid-June, but upon our arrival, there was no record of our reservation. The waitress was friendly and apologized for the error. We requested to speak with a manager, who served our appetizers and also offered an apology. Throughout our time there, we noticed several empty tables on the deck, and when we brought this up to the manager, he was unresponsive. Just had dinner here on June 24 we were a party of four. The food and the service was absolutely amazing we had the Halibut and my wife had the Pork Milanese DELICIOUS the Manager came over and asked how everything was which I thought that’s the difference between this establishment and other restaurants.If you haven’t tried this place yet do yourself a favor and make reservations you won’t be disappointed!!!!!!!!
I visited Charlie's of Bay Head for the first time and secured a high-top table in the bar area. They have a fantastic selection of craft beers and a great variety of wines by the glass. The specialty cocktails are quite interesting as well. The service was outstanding, and the pacing was perfect. The food was excellent too. We'll definitely be returning!

This place is 5 out of 5 stars, every single time. Charlie's is our go-to place for special occasions and events and they never disappoint. I typically go for the special they have that night, but not always. Everything is cooked to perfection, seasoned great and is served beautifully! Highly recommend!
Had the pleasure of dining again at Charlie’s and again it NEVER disappoints. It was a double birthday they were made aware of but they went over the top with service And hospitality. The food and drink as always on point along with atmosphere. Thank you again for a great night
This restaurant is an excellent option for celebrating anniversaries or other special occasions. While I wouldn’t choose to come here on a whim, I truly enjoyed the food. It is slightly pricey, but the quality makes it worth it. The ambiance is also quite stunning!
Just had a lovely Valentine’s lunch here. The food was delicious and the atmosphere is beautiful. Our server, Lara, was personable and attentive. We were able to sit for a leisurely meal without being rushed. It was a perfect way to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

What a beautiful location and ambiance. The staff was pleasant, the view was amazing and the food was on point. From the whipped feta and crab deviled eggs, the lamb chops and chicken sandwich, the food was amazing! The lavender mimosas were A MUST!
Fantastic food and service! We came here for brunch and the food was delicious. Later we came back for a baby shower. The server was great and I definitely want to come back for more!
