We’ve been on holiday in France for over 10 days, we have always received good service, with well cooked food and tipped every restaurant 10% on each visit based on our experience. Food was ok here but the attitude from one of the Waiters was clearly anti British, we weren’t given a choice of how our burgers were to be cooked, or offered any sauces. We also witnessed other English Tourists been told no tables were available when they asked about seating outside, with no option to seat inside French Tourists were offered tables inside and offered sauces. The second waiter on duty on the night was pleasant and welcoming. It’s a shame this was our last night in France, we kept our own tip and s...

One of the worst restaurants i’ve ever been to. We came in but they wouldn’t let one of our friend sit just because she didn’t want to consume, we were 4. She had to go wait alone in the street while we ate fast. We ordered fries, sodas, one pizza and 2 salads. The salads did not have any taste, the leaves were rotten and brown. The fries were cold and they had so much oil in them that they were wet. But the worst was the pizza, it was cold, and had some old cheese just put into it, my friend had to take off the cheese because there was so much. The manager was really unfriendly and was talking to really badly to us. The food took almost an hour to come. When we went to pay the manager insul...

Because Sarlat is a popular tourist destination, the restaurants tend to be expensive and often of inferior quality. We live locally, and we were delighted when we tried Chez Mourroux a few years ago. It's a bakery and a restaurant, with a comfortable dining room and tables out on the sidewalk. M.Mourroux is not only a talented baker, but he is a very good cook. The daily specials are always delicious and made with great flair and talent. Madame Mourroux, who handles the dining room and sales, is a delightful, cheerful and often very funny compliment to the dining experience. It's no wonder the restaurant is always full of locals, many who are regular customers. Go try it. Marc and Tim, Toro...

We were looking for a restaurant for breakfast, and not a patisserie, which is unusual here. We found a breakfast here for 6 euros each that included juice, coffee, French bread, a large croissant, butter and jam. No protein, but better than sweets. And the service was very good.
