Joined friends for a catch up dinner in the evening so couldn't see the view which in the daytime is lovely looking over Cornelian Bay. Our waiter saw us seated and provided a drinks menu which had the usual local and national wines and beers with a few international labels added. The menu was interesting with a good cross section of dishes to suit most palates. Be warned though, the entrees are more than generous and some would be considered a main course dish. My husband had the pork crepes which was an enormous serve. I enjoyed my Seafood Chowder, which is a signature dish, for my entree and followed it with Five Spice Squid which was very tasty and accompanied by a very refreshing salad...
Lovely spot overlooking Cornelian Bay and the picturesque boat sheds. Very calming and an excellent menu and wine list. Staff were attentive and friendly making for a nice customer dining experience.I had mixed oysters - yummy, followed by a lovely marinated pork main with quite exquisite trimmings (up market presentation without an astronomical price tag). Dessert was a shared chocolate platter with a round chocolate cake and vanilla and chocolate ice cream. Quite decadent and yummy.All washed down with a nice glass or two of Pinot. I will definitely be going back to explore a bit more of this great menu in such nice surroundings.
The Boat House doesn't look like much from the outside BUT the food is very good. I had lunch there this week with friends and the food was very good. Service was fast & very friendly. The price is above average but I think worth it. We had the fish & the others in our party had the steak. There was nothing left on anyone's plate !!! The Boat House is in a nice place next to the waters edge. It was a cold day, but inside it was nice and warm & very inviting. I will definitely be recommending The Boat House to all, for a warm relaxing very enjoyable meal.
In context, this restaurant is a five. Could not fault it. Overall it is a 4.Great service, good food, and in a lovely setting. Had the fish and chips and that was done nicely with a very light batter. Others had a vego meal and the pork crepe. All very delicious, and understated.The food here is a very generous portion, so beware if you're not hugely hungry. For some the entree would be enough.Would happily go back if in the area.Reasonably priced.

My wife and I had dinner here while on a night away to Hobart. I have a number of allergies so contacted the restaurant in advance who advised they would be happy to ensure there was something I could have. When we were there the staff were friendly and helpful, attentive but respectful. To top it off the food we had was absolutely amazing. A fantastic restaurant which I would (and have been) highly recommend.
Lovely venue with views onto the water. Nicely set out with plenty of room around the tables . A good place for a celebration with a few friends such as birthdays.We had the most delightful evening and the atmosphere helped too. Lovely staff and very helpful , so nice to feel looked after
10 metres away from the water this restaurant has a great location. The location is not wasted on the food as it was very good with quite reasonable pricing. Well worth a lazy long lunch
Lunch today was very special, catching up with family and friends. The food was fresh and interesting, service excellent and views very special. Would thorough recommend.

Lovely restaurant beside the water of Cornelian Bay. Table in the window overlooking Tasman Bridge very scenic. Food was amazing, service was excellent.
Undeniably the best steak ever tasted. It was cooked exactly how I wanted. The Turkish delight sundae was so good. Can't wait to be back!!!
