Hungarian restaurants are not very widespread in Sydney, which is one of the reasons why the corner 75 has established such a long reputation over the years. The other reason is the wonderful food of course. The hearty and homely traditional Hungarian tariff probably summarizes the offers here. That is, why a few of the dishes is technically traditionally traditional Hungarian food, it is easy to see the influence. I visited for the first time with a Hungarian family member who helped with some of the menu items. However, I was back several times without the inner knowledge and it succeeded in ordering a number of wonderful dishes under the guidance of knowledgeable and inviting ground staf...

This place rocks. I felt catapulted back to my childhood in Germany and really the food tasted exactly like grandma used to cook. I had the Mazo soup and it was outstanding. The garlic bread was also super super nice but you should stay away from other people for a day or two for sure. I had the mushroom goulash as a main and it was nice. The spätzle (pasta) were delicious. Not that much choice for a vegetarian but I was happy anyway. Only downside was that everyone around us was eating apple strudel and we missed you.
Dinner was lovely and reminded me of home style food from growing up (no, I'm not from a Hungarian background but regularly had paprika chicken and stroganoff etc). Food is heavy cream based as you should expect from that sort of thing, so don't go expecting diet food. The restaurant is kinda' older style but that's cool anyway. Check out the photo collection. The service is wonderful, the waiter was fun and friendly, the owner was present, engaged and lovely. Recommended.
The dinner was lovely and reminded me of the food with the home style of growing up (no, I'm not from a Hungarian background, but regularly had pepper chicken and stroganoff, etc.). Food is heavy cream, based on this kind of stuff, so do not expect nutrition. The restaurant is somehow older style, but that's still cool. Look at the photo collection. The service is wonderful, the waiter was funny and friendly, the owner was present, engaged and beautiful. Recommended.
Ate here with my wife and mother one night recently and thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of the experience. The food was tasty and filling, the service excellent and the prices reasonable. Okay, the food doesn't exeactly have a lot finesse, but it is exactly the sort of thing you want on a cold winters night. And, and it's BYO, which keeps the price down and lets you drink exactly the wine you want. What's not to like?! We will be back. Book a table now
Love this Hungarian restaurant, the food is very authentic. Manager Paul is a great host, his staff very friendly. Great wine list, is also BYO. Garlic bread is different from any I have ever had before. great side dishes. The crepe is a must.
If you want to try some great Hungarian food then this is the place to go. Really tasty food and relaxed atmosphere. We will definitely return.
