I visited this restaurant for a quick dinner on a Thursday evening and I was pleased with my meal. The restaurant has been established for a long time and has a cozy interior with a charming old bar. The staff was welcoming and the prices were reasonable given the current circumstances. I tried the cottage burger (a unique olive burger) along with a cup of their chili blanco, both of which were delicious. The restaurant had a warm and inviting atmosphere. I would highly recommend it to anyone in the area looking for a comfortable dining experience.
Went here for lunch with a friend. It was ok. A little over priced for what I got. Potatoes were very bland. Just chunks that were over roasted. Didn't taste like there was much seasoning. The sandwich was fine. My friend really liked the beef stew. I do like the atmosphere here. After we asked for the bill it took about 10 minutes to get it, which wasn't great. Their burgers are really good here though.
When i first walked in, i immediately noticed it was very dim. I'll admit, i thought about turning around and leaving but decided to give them a try. I'm glad i did! I gotnthehot roast beef sandwich, it was delicious! If you've ever read my other reviews, you know I'm very picky, opinionated, and not easily impressed. Had lava cake for dessert. Definitely willing to go back. Yum!
This is not a high-end place. It has a broad menu selection and executes comfort food well. The seating is a bit tight. If you are looking for a local, old-school place for tasty food and a laid-back atmosphere of years past, this is it.

The food and drinks were amazing! Kim was the friendliest waitress in Grand Rapids! The prices were great, the atmosphere was chill, and the portions were generous. This is probably the best casual pub in GR! I'm so glad I went!

I recently tried the Kentucky Bourbon burger at this restaurant and found it to be the best burger I have had in the past two years. The service was polite and professional.
You're talking of a bar that is nearly 100 years old and has still got it! The salad was very good but the burgers are tops!
