Rainworm in salad! We were with Da Franco yesterday. You're very nice outside, but it was already. When I was in my salad with the fork, a rainworm came out. I was totally shocked and ordered the already ordered food. The boss apologized and said he could fool me well, he didn't know how this could happen. We should think about staying. Over the years I have been to this restaurant many times. It used to be a favorite but at some point the quality/quantity of the food seemed to be going down so I stopped going. On the chance that things might have changed I went...back for dinner. Just a simple bowl of spaghetti Bolognese, bread and salad. What I was served was not bad but then not great. The other folks I was with liked their food but no one was raving about it. If you happen to be walking along the Rhein and feel like some Italian then stop by but don't make a special trip.

Terrible service!! Very unfriendly operation. The food (noodles with broccoli) came with fish from which nothing was on the map. On my note that I did not eat fish, it was said that it would be made new without talking the right. I had my appetite, but I had no choice. I'd rather not have eaten. I had to wait more than half an hour for the bill and ask three times. The operation obviously has nothing better to do than to direct paprika and salt shaker on the unoccupied side table.
Our family enjoyed a quiet weekend lunch at Da Franco restaurant during a day trip to Remagen. The staff were welcoming and spoke Italian, German and English. The menu had a wide selection of Italian dishes including a number of pasta and pizza choices. The...drink menu includes alcohol and non-alcohol. Decor was in keeping with the usual Italian themed restaurant. The view, however, was spectacular. The restaurant has an outdoor terrace just a short distance from the Rhine.
Walking along the Rhine we thought we would like a ice cream and sat down the waiter came and the ice cream was very good and we did enjoy it
