I absolutely loved this restaurant! It has a fascinating backstory and is far from the typical bland sushi bar. It's Hispanic-owned and features a diverse range of flavors, making it the best sushi I've ever had. The atmosphere is relaxing, with soft lighting that isn't harsh or blinding, and they even have a projector playing music videos! I would give it a 20/10—it's definitely a place you need to visit twice a week! Plus, it's wheelchair accessible at the front door. The service is excellent for dining in.
The location is great on the outside but the inside is cute. The food was ok. You'd swear by the reviews they get that the food would be phenomenal but it's ok. I probably wouldn't make the trip back but the sushi was ok. I do give them credit for the food being hot and fresh. The shrimp fried rice was pretty good too. I do not recommend the calamari. It was tough and tasteless. The rolls were decent. The service was good. I'm guessing the A/C may have been out. It was hot and stuffy. I probably will not return.
I asked for the New Orleans roll and it looks nothing like that picture on their menu, they be waxing for false results.
