I don’t have a local phone number, and the employee’s words were something like, “Oh, you’re the one with the area code, right? I remember seeing your number yesterday when I was going through the list of people to notify. We already rented the unit.”
To make matters worse, I never received any form of communication—a phone call, voicemail, text, email, or even a message by carrier pigeon. I would have been more understanding if there had been an explanation or even a simple apology, but after a busy day of touring apartments across the East Bay, this experience stood out as the most unprofessional one I’ve encountered—just as others have reported about their experiences.
I applied a month ago. I was told I was approved to move by 6/20/23. I have yet to see a lease for me to sign. Today is 6/16/23. My question is? Will I be homeless? I have movers set up, and I do not even know if this is going to happen. I have never experienced anything like this before renting an apartment. Communication is not the best. Please be aware, and have a backup for your living situation. I do not have a backup, as I thought everything would work out.
I took a tour of the Del Norte apartments with Thomas Gocher, the property manager. He was appropriately dressed and conducted himself in a very professional manner. He provided a comprehensive tour of the available apartments. While I believe the apartments could benefit from some updates, I was genuinely impressed with Tom. He addressed all of my questions and demonstrated extensive knowledge of his role. Overall, it was a positive experience.
Cockrashes coming from the bathtub wall. It has been the 3rd time I have requested for this issue because pest control probably can't get behind the wall. Very frustrating because I'm afraid that they can spread throughout the apartment. I always maintain my apartment super clean and it's wierd that they are coming from the bathroom and not the kitchen that is were food is storage..

Scheduled a tour but never got to view the property. We got a confirmation email for viewing but when we reached there, we could not get a hold of leasing agent. Followed the instruction on call box to reach the office but no one answered. Tried calling leasing office multiple times but it went to voicemail. We waited there for almost 10 mins but saw no one.
To be honest, the prices here are quite excessive. Additionally, the management doesn't seem very knowledgeable. I lived here for a whole year, and my experience wasn’t great. The neighborhood also feels unsafe. I frequently saw homeless individuals outside the building. There were also times when the entrance door was broken.
Recently toured apartment with Tom. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. He takes great of this apartment community. Will be putting in an application for future move.
I toured a 2 bedroom with Tom, he was wonderful! He was friendly, transparent, and professional. All my questions were answered and he even followed up with me after my tour.

Cute property, nice leasing staff, very close to the Bart station and grocery. Very walkable
lived there before. they do not return the deposit in full for no reason.
