I placed an online order at 12:11 for pickup at 12:16. When I arrived at about 12:25, I was informed that they were still working on it and that it would be ready soon. I was reassured my order would come out shortly. By 12:45, I asked again about my order, only to be told by the employee at the register that he couldn't find it and asked me to get back in line to place another order. I decided to leave and told them not to worry about making my food. One of the other staff members made rude comments whenever I asked about my order. On October 9, 2022, my young daughter and I visited Dickey's Barbecue Pit in the afternoon, and we were the only customers there. The two servers were engaged in conversation and didn't greet us when we entered; instead, they walked away as soon as they saw us. I asked why they were not welcoming us, and we requested mac and cheese and an appetizer. One server instantly stated they didn’t have it, while the other gave me a disapproving look. I won't be returning; if the service was that unfriendly, I can’t expect the food to be any better.
Order online to pick up showed up on the time it was supposed to be ready to find out they were behind no problem they said like 5 more minutes I was the next order they were going to make. Sat down 2 more people walked it to pick up the same thing 5 minfor them. 15 min later the 2 people who came in after me somehow got their food before me I asked why they didn't have anyanswer. When I got home I live like 6 min away the food was cold. Food was ok
I recently visited Dickey’s Barbecue Pit for my father’s birthday lunch. I’ve been to this location several times, and the service is always excellent—everyone is friendly and accommodating. The food quality and portion sizes are definitely worth the price. The variety of BBQ sauces and the sweet tea are fantastic extras. Orders are prepared quickly, so there’s virtually no wait. I highly recommend this Dickey’s BBQ for both dine-in and takeout.

My husband and I dined at Dickey's Barbecue Pit for the first time and had an excellent experience. The two young men working there were outstanding, demonstrating wonderful hospitality by allowing me to sample the potato salad before I placed my order. We will certainly be coming back to this restaurant repeatedly.
The brisket and chicken were extremely dry, and the mac and cheese potatoes tasted like a frozen microwave meal. I recommend going to Salty’s down the street—they’re far better. I won’t be coming back here; it was a complete waste of money.
