la ferte bernard is a pretty beautiful city with a picturesque town square. directly at the city square is the hotel du stade. we were here for a night with the halfboard offer for two. 95 euro include room, dinner and breakfast for two people. the hotel itself has somehow come down and needs a refreshment. the room was on the smaller side and although it was clean, it also needed some refreshing. the personal was very kind, tried to speak English when I tried to speak French. I think most customers in this hotel are workers who have traveled from other countries. the dining room is quite large as it could accommodate a large party or high-time reception. both dinner and breakfast were serve...
The whole service is impeccable, staff accessible, smiling and available. Quiet and affordable hotel (69 euros half board). The meal is hearty and the quality ingredients (eg salad of raw vegetables, cherry tomatoes and mozzarella balls last night, breaded and lemon hake, fresh cooked spinach) we feel that the cook pays attention to the quality of his products!
Good service restaurant. Two menus offered. A workers menu and a more elaborate menu served more quietly. The appetizer buffet is remarkable, the dishes offered are cooked with care. Large car park nearby. Smiling and fast waitresses. Reasonable prices
