I organized a special 80th birthday meal for my mom and reserved the garden room for 28 guests. The staff were incredibly accommodating, setting up the tables as we requested and allowing us to come in early to decorate. They took great care of our cake and brought it out right on time. The service was exceptional, with all 28 meals served promptly, at the same time, hot, and with a smile. We had pre-booked our meals two days prior and everything was delicious and accurate. I am truly grateful to everyone for making the day absolutely perfect.
Upon arrival for a pre-dinner drink, we were disappointed to find that they did not have Pernod available. The starters were lackluster, and the flatbread accompanying the Chicken Strips was cold and overwhelming in portion size. Overall, it was a disappointing dining experience.
I received a warm and friendly welcome at this restaurant. The Sunday roast with all the trimmings was delicious. My only criticism would be that it would have been even better if the plates were warm.
Lovely venue with friendly and helpful staff, although the toilets were down two short flights of stairs they were very clean and well maintained
