We started with the spinach egg drop soup, which was outstanding! I believe it had some couscous mixed in as well. I ordered the pork medallions, served with sides of red cabbage and spaetzle, while my friend chose the salmon with sauerkraut. The pork was incredibly tender and flavorful, the cabbage was cooked to perfection, and the spaetzle was light and airy. I sampled the sauerkraut, and it was exceptional. We decided to indulge in dessert, and the carrot cake was delightful. This restaurant truly offers an authentic experience and is a hidden gem. As a lovely surprise for my birthday, they treated us to a complimentary dessert and a celebratory apple shot! I encourage everyone to suppor...

If I didn't know any better, I would have thought I was in Southern Bavaria, Germany, instead of Norridge, Illinois! The German food here is excellent, delicious, and truly authentic. They didn’t just have my favorite German beer, Spaten, but also the even better Spaten Oktoberfest. The pretzels are authentically HUGE, and the food is fantastic. There was a live German band playing, waitstaff dressed in lederhosen, and busboys with great personalities, all in a dining area beautifully decorated in genuine German style. To top it all off, the manager, Mr. Greco, makes you feel appreciated and welcomed, leaving you eager to come back – and we definitely will! This restaurant earns my highest r...

The food was incredibly delicious, the service was exceptionally friendly, and it was definitely worth the price. I celebrated my birthday here with my family, and we thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered. In fact, we even ended up celebrating Oktoberfest alongside my birthday. Moreover, when the waitstaff and owners discovered it was my special day, they generously treated me to an apple strudel and complimentary shots of apple brandy. I highly recommend Edelweiss if you're looking for an authentic German dining experience. I'm also looking forward to returning and spending my money at this wonderful restaurant again! Everything was worth it!

We celebrated a birthday at our annual October fest dinner with my granddaughters, and it was a wonderful experience! The food was outstanding, and the portions were generous. The atmosphere was enhanced by great music, with musicians strolling around playing the accordion, horns, and even Alpine horns. They even took a moment to sing Happy Birthday to my granddaughter, which was a lovely touch. Our server, Dennis, was fantastic! He was not only efficient and attentive but also an incredibly personable young man who kept us laughing throughout the evening. Book a table now

This restaurant is authentically German with delicious cuisine and a fun environment. We ordered the pretzel, which was huge, perfectly cooked, salted generously and accompanied by a really good honey mustard sauce and a beer cheese. My family demolishedthe pretzel and then ordered their meals. Everything came out quickly, cooked well, and piping hot. The staff was friendly andinformative, and the beer was great! Generous portion sizes for both food and drinks. Definitely recommend as a regular treat.

The restaurant has a delightful atmosphere and offers delicious food with generous portions. However, I found the prices to be a bit on the high side. The staff was very attentive and helpful throughout our visit. Overall, it's a fantastic place that I would rate a perfect 10/10 if the prices were about 15% lower. Service: Dine-in Meal type: Lunch

It's essentially the only place around that offers this type of cuisine, so I'm giving it 4 stars to help ensure it remains in business, unlike the other German restaurants that have disappeared from the 100-square-mile area of Chicago.
