The food was well cooked and very fresh. However, almost everything lacked flavor. The elote was the only thing with noticeable flavor, but the ear was so small and most of the kernels were dried out or not there. The taco shells were very good (didn 't fall apart and well cooked), but all of the meats and topping were so bland! There wasn 't any seasoning on any of the meats, chips, and the salsa was so disappointing and the tacos were very dry. I also tried a side of guacamole, which was okay (mostly onions), and the spicy queso dip....but there was nothing spicy about it, not did it have any flavor; plain nacho cheese sauce from 7-11 would have been better. Had the pleasure of being served by Glen, just his service and attention is enough to warrant a 5 star review. But my great experience doesn't stop at the service, the food was OUTSTANDING! I had a surf and turf burrito and it came loaded, and it was so delicious! Everything in it seasoned to perfection, definitely in top of my list of best burritos I've ever had. It's a shame we're far, because if it wasn't the distance I'd definitely be a regular. But, if you're around, stop by, you will not be disappointed. An extra plus, the drink choices. Every flavor of Jarritos and also Mexican Coca-Cola. For friendly service and excellent food, El Burro is a must!
I'm such a big fan of this place!! I've been here a month for at least two years. the owner always goes beyond and beyond and is so beautiful!! All my friends I brought here are constantly asking to return! I am so happy that they have survived through this terrible pandemic and labor shortage and try to get here as often as possible for the best food. I love the brisket enchiladas most, and many of the food options are naturally gluten-free.
I have to say, this place is a true hidden gem. The food was incredible! My brother and I tried several dishes, along with some desserts, and both were fantastic! The service was excellent as well. Make sure to chat with the owner, Glen—he was very polite and genuine. It’s an authentic dining experience that’s hard to find in the area. Highly recommend checking it out!

With the cold weather was wanting some warm Mexican food so I popped into El Burro, was pleasantly surprised welcoming staff and excellent guacamole and homemade chips, I ordered the chicken and Shrimp fajitas and they were seasoned perfect steaming hot when the come out with fresher pressed corn tortillas, I am from Texas and this place gave me a little taste of home.
Visited El Burro for the first time today. I've been talking about it for almost a year. I'm so glad we made it. The restaurant has a fun atmosphere with excellent authentic Mexican dishes. We had the Street Corn, Chicken and Crispy Cod Top shelf. I would recommend passing, Glen will welcome you and give you great insights into the menu. See you soon!!!
We just had an incredible experience at El Burro Mexican Cuisine restaurant in Farmingdale. The owner was exceptionally welcoming and friendly, making us feel right at home. However, what truly stood out was the food—it was absolutely delicious! You could really tell how fresh the ingredients were. This place is a must-visit if you’re in the area!
This was our first visit, and we were eager to try it out. We came with two children and two adults. The food was fresh, delicious, and plentiful. I ordered a burrito bowl with chorizo, and it was excellent. The owner even helped my daughter, who is hesitant to try new foods, find something she loved. I highly recommend this place!

Discovered this restaurant during quarantine for takeout and have been coming back consistently ever since. The specials are always great and the portions are very generous. Finally ate in and the service was very attentive, quick, and polite. It’s also BYOB. This place quickly became our go-to for date nights!
