My husband and I have now twice ended up eating dinner at Enoteca Mediterraneo in Solano, and each time we've had a delightful experience! The setting is quite intimate, with seating at the bar and a menu of plates to share. The owner, Jamshied, is lovely, very warm and personable! He knows his wine and enjoys finding finding one to serve that you'll like and then chatting a little if he has time. He prepares the food himself and the portions are generous for small plates. We have enjoyed the delicious dolmas sprinkled with yogurt sauce and nuts, the bruschetta brimming with toppings, the spiced nuts and the plate of sausage accompanied by potato salad and sauerkraut. We have tried several o...

This place is a local treasure. It is exactly the kind of small, cozy, and cheerful place that one seeks traveling in Europe, Asia, or central America. The proprietor and Chef, Mr. Jamsheed Basseri is so authentically charming and welcoming that every visit feels like visiting a friend 's home. Speaking of familiarity, the food looks and tastes like it was prepared at home, at a very culinary-knowledgeable and skillful relative. Everything we tried was delicious and tasted unique, as if it was prepared individually for us. My wife and I are vegetarians and very finicky about the use of utensils and chefs/cooks touching meat and veggie dishes simultaneously. We felt very comfortable about eat...

Quirky little place, a one-person restaurant with interesting food. The eggplant appetizers and the beet, fennel, and feta salad were great. So was the pomegranate chicken. The chianti chicken cacciatore was fine but a bit more middle-of-the-road. And the chocolate-covered halva was divine. Great wine selections, too. And the owner is a delightful host. We will be back!

We've just enjoyed Chef Jamshied's delicious Easter Special fantastic lamb meatballs in a wonderful sauce coupled with a side of rice pilaf. We paired our dish with the Cadaretta Syrah, just great or us! As always, enjoying a meal prepared by Chef Jamshied was full of wonderful flavors and textures. Looking forward to our next dinner already. Book a table now

Warm, delicious and friendly! The owner chef prepares a wonderful variety of dishes from his homemade dolmas to an amazingly satisfying Squash stew. He's a great host and really knows his wine too. Eager to check out his new wine shop next door.

Owner chef very welcoming and a good cook, but menu is sparse and pricey for what you get. Paper plates and plastic cutlery ! Feels more like a take out place.
