My husband and I were out in Dunfermline and thought we 'd try somewhere different for lunch. On checking the menu I noted there was a small vegan menu which meant I could eat here. I ordered the sweet potato salad £8.95. My husband, who isn 't vegan, ordered mushroom and chicken stroganoff. When the meals eventually came out the stroganoff looked really bland and the rice watery. He said it tasted ok but was not worth £9.85. We visited on a Sunday morning and were very disappointed. It was freezing inside the building as the fire hadn’t yet been lit. Everyone inside had their coats and jackets on. They did try to get the fire lit, which meant that when the door was opened smoke was let out, leaving a smoky smell. We ordered food and drinks and had a while to wait. Whilst waiting we watched the young lad serving us, put firelighters in the fire and light them. Came here with 6 other friends for some drinks, 47 minutes after arriving we received our drinks. I have never experienced service so slow given that it wasn’t that busy. We were told when we arrived that there was only one member of staff on the bar so it might be a little wait for the drinks but we didn’t realise it would be this long! The drinks were brought out two at a time instead of all together despite ordering them at the same time. We had to wait 15 minutes in between for the drinks to come out. They forgot about one of our drinks that we ordered and instead of being apologetic the waiter was very rude and made out that it was our fault. Very disappointing as it has potential to be...
We popped in for a wee bit lunch after getting off the bus. We arrived at 12.05 and asked for our drinks after 5 minutes waiting. We waited a further 10 minutes before our order was taken. Finally, after half an hour, the waitress told us the chit had been lost in the kitchen!!!!!!! We left, granted we didn't have to pay for the drinks but certainly won't be back in here. Service is so terribly slow, very disappointed in this establishment

Went for brunch! Menu was good and chose breakfast rolls and omelettes between the four of us! Ordered at 11 and drinks took around 20 mins to be served. There were only 2 other tables in at that time and they already had their food/drinks. Food also took a while! Had to wait 20 minutes on soup that was ready in the Bain Marie. Also it was very cold, appreciate the space would be hard to heat but all of our party kept their jackets on.
Although I had passed this place on numerous occasions, I had never been in. After picking up a family member from the Bus Station, which is close by, we decided to try the converted Fire Station. There is a good selection on the menu on offer and our chosen dishes were excellent. The cakes are more than amazing. I'd recommend here for lunch or cake/coffee, as this is above your average eatery.
Excellent venue for party. Grazing table and cocktails were great and exactly what we were looking for. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful, planning the evening and throughout the event. All our guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves, thank you
Group went for the Soul Station/Motown Night. Atmosphere was uneasy and very little (if any) Motown was on much more like a standard wedding playlist from the DJ. Crowd seemed a little underwhelmed.

Lovely atmosphere, cracking attentive staff, the soup was wow! Lovely lunch with my mum over from the States for a vistit, it was perfect thank you for your hospitality.
