The food value was not equal to the price tag. For 2 people we spent just over $106 which included tip. I ordered the brisket and my girl ordered the steak. The brisket was mostly fat and the spices were pretty intense. We were offered a different bbq sauce which ended up costing $1 for a tablespoon or so of sauce. Her 12 oz New York Strip didn't look anything like the pictures online. It literally looked like a green mess. It was fairly tough with a bit of gristle. The desserts we're very good and the service was also very good. If not for those two things the restaurant would have received between 1 star. Disappointed.
Went here yesterday with some friends and had a great time. Definitely recommend a reservation on the weekends because it was busy. Great cocktail selection. I had the GR 75 and it was delicious. We ordered the homemade chips and the Thai corn dip as an appetizer and it was so tasty. Had the pork spare ribs as an entree and the portions were very generous. Only complaint is parking is not super convenient and had to circle the block a bit but everything else was quite good. Our server was nice and gave recommendations when we asked.
The place was clean and inviting. Greetings were friendly. Those were the best parts of this stop. Ordered the Texas brisket odd flavor and full of fat (pictured). I actually chose this place because of the rave reviews of their carrot cake. It wasn’t bad, but far from spectacular. Not a place I will return to. I mentioned the fat and the fact I didn’t care for it. They comped the entire amount of the brisket so upgraded to 3 stars
Great ambiance. Roof patio was a great place to sit on a sunny day. Attentiveness from the waiter was good. The food was overall only okay. The short ribs tasted more like a roast and didn't have any bone so it's hard to tell their cut. The stuffed salmon was good but the carrots they were served on were not cooked through on the larger carrots.
