First of all, I have to say that I am a huge fan of sushi. When I traveled to Japan several times, I always visited several different sushi restaurants including conveyor-belt sushi, such as Kura sushi and Sushiro. I really loved them since the taste and price is very satisfied. After the pandemic happened, I was not able to visit Japan because their boarder is closed to a traveler. When I missed a sushi restaurant, particularly a conveyor-belt sushi restaurant, I visited Kenki sushi. However, if you expected the taste and atmosphere you experienced from Japan, you definitely would regret. The price is a Hawaiian price, and you may not be able to enjoy the sushi without concerning the price....

The prices are reasonable, and placing an order is straightforward. The sushi is delivered on a cool conveyor belt system, which adds to the experience. Service is quick, and the menu is surprisingly extensive, offering something for everyone. While the sushi quality isn't top-tier, it offers great value for the price. Initially, it might be frustrating that you can only order four items at a time, but it actually makes sense; you can order as you eat, so there’s no need to overorder.
However, we did encounter some issues with the service. After finishing our meal, we waited quite a while for someone to bring us the bill. After about 15 minutes, we decided to go to the register, but were sent back to our table and had to wait an additional five minutes to get our bill. They weren’t particularly busy, so the wait felt a bit excessive. Despite that, it was a good experience overall, and I would definitely consider returning.
Long wait for nothing special. Service is pretty sub-par. One of the guys decided to break out the bucket and mop to start mopping while I was eating. Also, we had a party of 4 seated after we had already ordered, yet they got all of their plates (I counted 14 of theirs) before we received ours. We only got 6 out 12 of out orders. The party of 4 ate and left before we got our last order. Pretty inconsistent service. Book a table now
The food was fabulous the waitress was very kind quick. However, I knew nothing about how to order here. I didn't understand the process, pricing, etc until I was ordering my final plate. Very high tech. But I am a low tech girl. And it was freezing cold. The AC was on super blast.
The customer service was terrible, and the long wait for average sushi was frustrating. I recommend visiting a locally-owned sushi restaurant instead. Support local businesses while you're in Hawaii and enjoy some fresh, local fish!
Very cute little restaurant. There 's a little bullet train that delivers cute little plates of food. Prices are sorted by colors, and you order on a tablet. The food is good, but the portions are small.
Simple, quick and cheap place (if you don’t order too much) for sushi and Japanese food. I love it because the food comes in these small trains and comes little by little, creating a fun meal experience. Book a table now
Four stars for the fun delivery and for putting a smile on my kids’ faces. The sushi was good. Only complaint is the garlic chicken I had; it tasted like it had been cooked in old cooking oil.
