The mural on the side of the restaurant caught my eye and gave me a sense of deja vu that I'd been here before. I honestly can't remember, but I'm definitely coming back. We had two waitresses because the first one left, but both were very attentive and friendly. Since this is Texas, I opted for the chicken fried chicken, but did so with reluctance. Fortunately it wasn't nearly as big or as filling as I anticipated. I mean that in a good way because I was reluctant to order a heavy meal. It was very good and came with two sides. The broccoli rice casserole was great, but the mac and cheese was a little dry and somewhat lacking. Our second waitress brought us extra drinks in to go cups. Will...
We returned for another visit and this time we sat in the larger dining area. I recommend asking for the bar area, as it's cozier. The margaritas we had as starters were delightful, and the bread was served fresh and tasty. I ordered the small chicken fry, but I opted for mashed potatoes with gravy instead. Don't forget to order the corn; it's excellent! My husband really enjoyed the broccoli salad. The place was busy, but the service was attentive and good. We will definitely keep coming back whenever we're in town. You can't go wrong here; there's something delicious for everyone!
Really great atmosphere and drinks. We thought there would be a long wait because of how long the line was but it went very quickly because of how large the restaurant is and how many servers. The only reason it’s not getting a higher star rating isbecause the food was just okay. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing because I saw many people getting the wings so maybe they aremore known for that.
First and foremost, our waitress, Brittany, was absolutely incredible—truly the best we've ever had! If you can, ask for her; you won't be disappointed! Thank you, Brittany, for taking such great care of us! Now, about the food—wow, it's consistently fantastic! The atmosphere is always lively and inviting. It's definitely worth the wait! We travel two hours just to eat here!

We decided to stop on a whim while heading to Austin, and we’re so glad we did. Our server, Anna, greeted us promptly and took our order right away. We tried the Buffalo chicken sandwich and the broccoli and grilled chicken baked potato, both of which were fantastic and arrived quickly. We're definitely looking forward to visiting George's on our next trip down I-35!
George's Restaurant Bar is great! The food was good, the facility was clean, and the service was exceptional. I would come back again. I would come back again, but only to try the lunch/dinner. The breakfast was nothing special. The jukebox was also pretty cool, but it isn't connected to the entire restaurant. I would recommend this place to my friends.
I made a reservation for my family, we were seated near the bar at 5 pm. We sat next so a group of drunk, loud and crude people. My 9 year old grandson and my 92 year old mom had to listen to foul and loud language while we finished our dinner as fast as we could. Shame on George's staff for setting us right next to the bar.
First time eating here and I have to say that I?m going to have to return. I had the chicken fried steak, which is touted as the best in Waco for 15 consecutive years, and I was not disappointed. The steak was so tender that I cut it with a fork. Delicious!

Food great, great service and a very clean place!! Winner! My new go to breakfast spot. Sabrina, our server, was the best too! So nice to have a friendly place to relax and enjoy our meal.
Five of us went for lunch, and we were pleased with the variety of choices. Our selections turned out to be excellent.
