Had Groupon dinner on last Wednesday night in group of four. It was full house even in the mid-week. Ordered Crumbed and Mornay oysters (they have the last serve of oysters), Calamari and Garlic Prawns as entrees. The best should be the garlic prawn which was done perfectly good with very strong flavour of garlic taste. Mains were the Involtini, Eggplant Parmigania, Fettucini with Chicken and Seafood Pizza. Pasta and Pizza were average and did not deliver any surprise. However, the Involtini deserved thumb-up, the white wine sauce was perfectly matched with the veal roll (if the portion was bigger, it would be much better) and the Eggplant Parmigania was the first time I had eggplant in Ital...
We've been looking for a new favourite Italian restaurant since our previous fav Avanti closed. And tonight we found it. Gino's is brilliant. Great staff, great menu and the food was amazing. Fresh calamari NOT frozen. Super fresh crisp salads, and delicious pasta and veal.And just when we thought it couldn't get any better. On the way out, when I went to collect our doggy bag, there was a full meal in the bag. Turns out someone in the kitchen had thrown out our left overs so they replaced it with freshly cooked FULL meal. Unbelievable. If you love Italian food and haven't been here. Get here. 10/10
We had a voucher deal for Gino's & with that we thought we scored pretty well. The food is home style Italian nothing fancy about the plating & simple menu items. I ordered the eggplant parmigiana which was piping hot all the way through (unlike Lady Meatball in the review below!) It was flavorsome with lots of cheesy sauce & sweet, robust tomato sauce accompanied by a small salad. I ordered chillies on the side so that gave it added zing. Loved the arancini balls, they had a crisp light crust with delicate vegetarian fillings inside. Desert was rather dry I had the tiramisu
Three of us dined and shared calamari, pizza and salad. All the meals were delicious. Perfect tender calamari and the pizza has a wonderful crisp crust. Very busy however the meals were served in a timely manner. Will definitely be back. Parking available behind the restaurant.

This place has been around for ages!! Many many many years my dad told me ???? food is really good still so no wonder why! However the i got a dirty cup, fork and knife... but the pasta, pizza and garlic prawns with pasta or rice (I think that's what it is called) is so good
Gino's is a great family restaurant. I always like the food here and so do the kids. Great friendly service and good price range. The ambience is very relaxed
So it's a ridiculously hot day and because my house has no air conditioning (ugh) I'm burning energy like nobody's business and continuously hungry.
I really enjoyed my experience at Gino'sI didn't know what to expect but I wanted to try something new near / on Racecourse Rd and this was a hit.
