The staff at the window were very friendly, but sadly, the dinner fell short of expectations. The chicken wing was quite small, and the other piece was merely a large chunk of white meat. Unfortunately, the chicken was overcooked, which was quite disappointing. On the brighter side, the fries were delicious. I believe that serving a thigh and a leg would create a more satisfying meal on those plates. Considering the amount spent, it’s frustrating when the food isn’t well-prepared.
So far, food had been consistent every time. Employees are very friendly. We usually buy enough to have for a couple of days. We love fried chicken. The chicken, fries and okra have never been greasy. That's the reason I quit going to Chicken Express. Horrendously greasy! When I spend $100 on fried chicken, I expect it to not be greasy. Hope Golden Chick can stay consistent with food quality. Inconsistency in food is the main reason I stop buying their food.
2nd time visiting a golden chick restaurant first time was in Uvalde Best friend chicken ? ever great service good happy friendly people clean store in and out all around a great place to go have a good freshly cooked meal ...... Wish you all would open a restaurant in my home town of Laredo Texas ...... Keep up the great work....
I ordered the four-piece fried catfish, but the portions were only about the size of my fingers, rather than the large fillets shown in their ads. It felt overpriced for such small servings. On the other hand, the fried chicken was the best value I've encountered so far, although it still costs more than chicken at other places. Book a table now
Right next to mickey D's, and sure, a bit more expensive, but this food is way better! Totally worth a try! Any chicken place that has rolls instead of biscuits, and serves some fish plates, is worth it!!! The employees are waiting for you!!
We dined in for lunch on a Tuesday and had a great experience. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The food was hot and fresh and the sweet tea was just right. Recommend for sure!
Best Batter I have ever eaten, O wait I ordered wings. Tiny wing lots and lots of batter. Over priced for what you are serving. Place was clean and very friendly serving. No free WI-FI.
