Just had breakfast here and felt compelled to leave a review. The owner was what you would get if you mixed your favorite uncle and your grandpa—the Korean version of what Uncle Joey is to the Irish. I had the galbi-tang and it was excellent. (It’s not the clear type that’s more prevalent, but the doenjang (miso -based version. When I was a young boy growing up in Korea, whenever I visited my grandpa he would get on his bicycle in the morning to go buy haejang-guk (hangover soup to feed me. It tasted just like that. If you want to taste real Korean soul food, this is it.

My first encounter with Korean cuisine was ten years ago, and it was quite memorable. I found myself traveling from Orange County to Koreatown several times a month just to indulge in Korean dishes. The Korean food in Northern Virginia is excellent, but recently, we visited Gom Ba Woo for dinner and had a fantastic dining experience. The portions were generous, and every dish we tried was delicious. The staff was courteous and welcoming, making our meal even more enjoyable.

Quite the local Korean restaurant. My meal was so tasty. Seating is decent but can be limited. The host was very helpful in finding me the dish based on the ingredients of kimchi, pork belly, and rice cake. I was very surprised how quickly my meal came out but I admit that I was only the second customer at that time. There is handicapped access and plenty of parking because there's a grocery store next door. Book a table now

This restaurant hold a special place in my heart. I was introduced to this wonderful place by my late brother. Since then, I been coming here for 25 years. Evrry time i come here, i always feel so familiar and comfortable. The foods quality is always top notch and if you have the pleasure to meet the owner, she's the nicest person you will ever meet.

You want delicious beef broth based soup? You want homemade dumplings? They make them right here and at a ridiculously good price. We always take some soup to go and eat it again within a day or two. Very delicious and a great value.

This restaurant is amazing! The service is incredibly friendly, and the food is bursting with flavor. I especially enjoyed the JapChae, Dolsot Bibim Bap, and Kimchi JaeYuk Bokkeum. Be sure to ask them about their feature on WETA PBS!

Authentic Korean cuisine with very friendly staff and piping hot soup (in more ways than one). The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is that the soup could have used a bit more salt, but I will definitely be returning! Book a table now

Had a mixed Solungtang. Food was delicious and Ggadugi was tasty, well harmonized with soup. Also, the staffs were friendly and clean inside.
