The atmosphere is good, with shouting (and attentive) Japanese staff, good decor, good music, lots of bar seating making it easy to drop in. The poached gyoza seem to be a huge mess and the duck didn't taste much like duck nor the vinegar and chilli that it was also supposed to have, however the grilled pork gyoza were great, good filing and a texture approaching the best I've had. Since it was before 6pm, I got free wings with my beer and they were ok, certainly filled out the meal. They probably should be world-class gyoza at this price but with some careful mixing of dishes you can have a good meal and a great time.

They had the best gyoza I've ever eaten, including in Japan! Our favourite was the pork and prawn with ginger, and close behind was the lemongrass chicken. The duck was also delicious. I also tried the cheese one, which was deep fried and filled with a very flavourful Parmesano. I'm glad I tried but would stick with the others next time. I also had a Japanese beer on tap, I've forgotten the brand but it was with special malt and was wonderful a nd went perfectly with the gyoza. The atmosphere was fun and the service was good but they forgot to bring the tray with sauces and serviettes.
I wonder if the Harajuku Gyoza restaurant at Potts Point has some thing to do with the famous Harajuku Gyozaru in Tokyo. The gyoza restaurant at Potts Point is beautifully decorated and is a microsm of the popular culture in the youthful Harajuku ward in Tokyo. I ordered the Nutella gyoza, pork and shrimp gyoza and yuzu wings. While the wings are poorly marinated, the gyozas are quite tasty. The Nutella gyoza is flavourful and sweet. I am sure it will change your impression on gyoza. The sticking point is the price. $9 for 3 gyozas? Probably not coming again.
My friends and I ventured to this Instagram friendly food joint to finally taste the cuisine. Let me just say, the pancakes sure were fluffy. However the real hidden gem is the 3 cheese gyozas. Whilst the raindrop looked cool, it had no flavor. The lady was loud upon our arrival but our ears managed. Overall pretty decent Book a table now
The place is spacious and pretty. Lovely staff. Foods were average. Gyoza fell apart couldn't pick up with my chopsticks and were dump in a plastic bowl. Chicken wings was tiny. Expensive for the portion. Presentation is zero since I sat next to the kitchen and saw all the dishes came out looking so small and clumsy.
We had 40 minutes before the show.We asked the Staff what dishes could be served quickly. They were very helpful. They gave an interesting call out when you enter. We had pork belly tacos plus a few different gyozas and cold brocolini. All were tasty plus a couple of different Japanese beers.Throughly recommend.
This is a good place if you want to try all Japanese street food. There are a few selections for non-pork eater like myself. The chicken lemongrass and duck gyoza are the best. Very casual and fun vibe. The night we were there was under staff but they made their best to accommodate us.
Running a promotion, never answering the phone when I try to book and then being told that the specials are 'sold out'. Bad form. There are better places for good gyoza if you're not intersted in hype. Book a table now
The grilled gyoza was alright, nothing out of this planet. The customer service was average. I enjoyed the chicken ramen and the raindrop dessert was quite unique.
Always come here if in the area, a good and speedy lunch, prompt service and I love the duck gyoza. Excellent value.
