I went for the first time…The young lady was very pleasant and nice. Greeted us when we came in. Helped my mom, then me. My mom bought some pastries and bread. The young lady even let use taste some things, with it being our first time. The items were very fresh and good. N the presentation when you come in was amazing. I ordered my dad's birthday cake…(German chocolate). Never had it but..... again able to taste it. Very good and the icing. My dad loved his cake....
My daughter and I stopped in this afternoon after hearing about it at another local restaurant. It's such a cozy cafe. The staff was also very friendly. We had sandwiches and then took a loaf of Italian bread to go. The tuna salad sandwich did not disappoint. My daughter's sandwich was a bit too much for her so I got half of that one too. Everything tasted very fresh. I can't wait to try the loaf for dinner tonight.
This is a perfect place to do lunch with friends and then go to the bakery and bring home sweet treats. We ordered our salads and sandwiches from the friendly staff and then took it upstairs to eat. The food was fresh and tasty and I just loved the old style charm of the place. No one rushed us out of there so we sat and talked for quite a while. We each bought yummy pastries to bring home. We will be back!
I ordered a birthday cake and I got the Unicorn one. I requested it to be as pink and purple as possible. It was just that and the birthday girl loved it! The decorations were awesome and the cake was an absolute hit. The butter cream frosting was delicious and it was very well received. I have never been disappointed with any of their products! I needed a cake for my husband's 80th birthday last weekend. I ordered one for 40 people with 2 different fillings.. Raspberry Lemon. I wanted a specific saying on the cake to match a banner that was being made. It was ready exactly on time looked perfect. It was so delicious everyone commented on how wonderful it was. Thanks.
They have some of the best cakes and pastries I have found in this area. They also have a deli side which makes delicious sandwiches, soups, salads and breakfasts. they also sell their own Chicken Pot Pies, Pizzas and Quiches that are to die for.
THANK YOU FOR SAVING MY DAD'S 84TH BIRTHDAY PARTY. McAurthur's Bakery messed up my order, which was paid in advance. The staff at Helfer's was so nice and patient about a last minute order.
