What a great value this restaurant is offering. They have weekly specials for $10. We had the hero cheeseburger, fries, and a drink for $10. In today's inflation, that's a great value. The burger was large, flavorful, and the fresh made bun that day made a huge difference. Because I usually don't eat the bread. But this Brad was amazingly good. I didn't need anything more after that, but I decided since it's close to the holidays, I would try donut to. I got the chocolate covered donut, which was one of the best I've ever had.
I am really thankful that there is a donut shop in Birmingham that serves vegan donuts, but why do they only have one option? Places like Revolution Donuts in Atlanta offer 6-8 vegan options daily. However, the vegan donut they do have is actually quite good. It is usually a vegan blueberry cake donut, and unlike most vegan cake donuts I have tried, it has a great texture. It's not like a cupcake in the shape of a donut; it's kind of crispy and has a texture similar to a cinnamon sugar donut.
With delicious brioche donuts, and an ever-expanding menu of quality breakfast and lunch items, hero donuts is a one-stop shop for quality. It feels as if they do not add anything to the menu until they perfect it, a process many other places should learn from and follow. The donuts are more like pastries than your traditional donut. If you've not tried it, it needs to be the next location on your list!
Perfect for those who can’t decide on sweet or savory breakfast — get the best brioche breakfast sandwich with BEC, then share a specialty donut with someone! Good amount of seating, great coffee, quick service. Cute takeout window for to-go orders outside too! Highly recommend the blueberry crumble donut and any BEC situation on the brioche. Hash browns are shareable and delicious too.

Do yourself a favor get a dozen doughnuts, or more, and then get ready to eat them and be amazed. They've got standard types (Boston Cream, Glazed, etc. , but they also have unique and wild creations that are only available for a limited time. But that's good news, because it gives me an excuse to keep going back to see what's new.
I'm not normally a breakfast sandwich person. But, their Fried Chicken Folded Egg Breakfast Sandwich came highly recommended. I tried it and MAN, am I glad that I did. That was some off-the-charts sandwich. Really, go to Hero Donuts and get their Breakfast Sandwich with fried chicken. It will be a good morning.
Absolutely amazing. I got the bacon/egg/cheese sandwich with the crack sauce and pepper jam and it is the best sandwich I believe i have ever had!! I got the combo that came with hashbrowns and coffee. Also, very good. And to top it off I had the donut holes which were so delicious!! Friendly staff!
Good donuts but . Got 2 dozen for 69 ! birthday donuts for son’s class. Was in a time crunch and couldn’t turn around to go elsewhere. They’re good, but not that good. You’re paying the location, the employees, the interior design etc. I could’ve done better at Pastry Arts for that price….

Good, not great doughnuts. Good pork chop and chicken sandwiches...and hamburgers. Doughnuts are overrated and overpriced.
