My friend has NEVER been to Hodaks and she 's lived in St Louis almost here entire life of over 76 years! She was very pleased with her meal of Chicken fried Chicken and ordered take home of Chicken livers. Even though she was hungry, she took about half of her main meal and the livers home. IT 'S NOT FOOD IF IT ISN 'T FRIED !!!
Mushrooms are to die for and the chicken, well been going for years ,my parents went for years, our kids absolutely love it. Great food reasonably priced, beer is always cold and the service is OUTSTANDING!!!

Geez, I can count on about three fingers the times I have not been disappointed when I've tried a restaurant that is a perennial favorite in a given city.
Hodak's is the Super Smoker's BBQ of the StLouis chicken scene Maybe 10 years ago it could pass for being among the best in the city.
I stopped by to pick up some of their excellent chicken livers for a friend. As always, the place is clean and well staffed.
