Two days before Thanksgiving Day and the store in Hoover was not/has not been open the past three days, so we went to the store in Alabaster. We drove up to Honey Baked Ham store around 11:30am and the line of customers was queued from the store 's entrance down the shopping mall 's sidewalk. Woe is me, was my first thought. But my wife told me to let her out of the car to get in line (behind 15 people waiting) and she charged me to find a parking slot (the lot appeared 99% full). But I was lucky. Honey Baked Ham Alabaster, you have truly outdone yourself. A sweet friend of mine wanted to surprise us and have food delivered to our home after we had a family member pass away a few days ago. After having some ordering difficulty through DoorDash- she called the store the store manager helped her place an order. Not only did he assist in placing the order, he took the situation into consideration as well. Nearly an hour later- the store manager himself was on my porch delivering MORE food than my friend had ordered. I had to order food for the office at the last minute due to a cancellation from another caterer, and HoneyBaked Ham really came through for me. Ms. Reese, the manager, personally called to confirm the order, which I appreciated. They did an incredible job, and I couldn't be happier with the quality of both the food and the service. They even followed up after the delivery, which shows their commitment to customer satisfaction. I highly recommend them, especially since they helped me out in a tough situation. While I would generally advise giving caterers time to prepare orders, I can't stress enough how outstanding they were in this particular instance.
Unfortunately, this is the worst location in Alabama. Every time I visit after 4 or 5 PM, which is when most working individuals go for a salad after work, they are out of ingredients. Items like pickled onions and spring mix are not available, and there's no cheese either. It's disappointing that I can only get a salad while I'm in Vestavia near the office, or I have to buy two to take home. I don't have the option to stop at the one just 4.7 miles from my house to grab a fresh salad. I'm only writing this review because this has happened to me three times in the past six months. It's really unfortunate—closing this location might be for the best.

I've been visiting Honey Baked Ham stores for many years. Some locations offer sandwiches, and they are quite delicious. I ordered a Tavern sandwich combo, but it wasn't on the menu at the Clearwater, Florida store like I had expected. However, they are more than willing to customize each sandwich to your liking, so you won’t be disappointed. You can enjoy your meal there or take it to go.
Well, I used my buy one get one free coupon today for 2 sandwiches. First, I was charged for both even after showing the guy my scanned code. Secondly, I got a side of potato salad which was about 1/4 of the way filled. The guy said he was short handed today but wow.
Oh my gosh these sandwiches are amazing the deli manager was so helpful and holy cow the sandwiches she whipped up was like eating heaven. I will be back great place
I was very disappointed with my first experience ordering food from here. When we got home, the ham slices we ordered were just the rind. We won't be returning.
