Every time I've been here, I've been surprised at the low cost. This place is right next to a higher end sushi joint, but sells rolls and the like for much less, and it honestly feels like a hidden gem because of it. They have some in-ground seating which requires you to take off your shoes, but they also have some standard tables and bench seating along one side of the place. The food is always delicious. I usually got for the tempura and teriyaki chicken (sometimes beef bento with some CA rolls, a standard American palette classic, and it's always good. Where is THE TIP?; 10+ years of going here, ruined in one day. Service was slow staff inattentive.I am not required to provide a tip with only two people present. Splurge during lunch and I absolutely enjoyed these fresh oysters and bento box.Price is VERY REASONABLE and just yummy! This will be my staple when I crave and want to eat a full meal.Service was ok, I was the only customer. There were at least 3 employees and one's back facing me. This sushi restaurant is not worth the 124.00 tab. They had no Unimy favorite, or tuna or salmon belly. The amaebi heads were served with a tonkatsu sauce, we also order a hamachi kama served with their version of a Ponzi sauce that was overly sweet not even a hint of citrus. We also had 6 fresh oysters with the same Ponzi sauce and all was truly not that tasty.Not wort the .

1/4/23 ordered late lunch through Uber Eats. There was a spider (tiny, but spider nonetheless) on my rice. We've been a long-time customer and continue to order from Ichiban through Uber Eats, but finding a spider on my food is not cool.
Really good place for a quick bite, friendly service and clean facility. I had the dragon roll, lion king and an order of Santa Barbara Uni. They were all delicious, this will be my new go-to spot for sushi!
Nice place for late suchi. Great comfort food. Service is quick, quality is great. Also, there are nice separate cabins if you feel like enjoying the food and the company you are coming with.
