While we were waiting, Ana kept staring at us, which made us all feel really uncomfortable. She seemed to change angles just to get a better look at us. Once we ordered, our server was friendly and attentive. However, they brought my wife's food incorrectly, and she could only eat half of it. My order was also wrong, and my sister-in-law received burnt potatoes.
We didn’t get any discount; we paid full price. To make matters worse, we could hear the cook yelling at the waitress from the kitchen, which added to the uncomfortable atmosphere. We’ve dined here before without any complaints, but today’s experience was excessive.
I ordered eggs, sausage, and pancakes of my choice, selecting the strawberry banana flavor, of course. The pancakes were wonderfully soft and delicious, especially with the whipped cream on top. Like many IHOP locations, they only had the original syrup flavors available, but I wasn’t sure if I needed to request the specialty flavors.
Overall, I’d give this place a 10/10 and will definitely stop by again the next time I'm in El Cerrito.

Came in on a Monday morning. There were a few people inside. We were greeted and seated right away. The food cake out pretty quickly. I had the biscuit sandwich with hash browns. It was very good. I would order it again. My husband got the steak omelette he was happy. I tried the steak it was very tender and well seasoned.
Unfortunately this was the worst ihop I’ve ever had. Service was bad waiter Was rude!! I ordered breakfast potatoes and one of the potatoes had a odd chemical strong taste on it made by tongue burn tasted like a cleaner very odd because all the other ones were fine I wish it was a better experience but it was horrible!!
