Went to Imli in Joondalup at lunchtime, it was a cold wet day, so there wasn't many people around. I didn't think the restaurant was open at first as there were no lights on, it didn't look particularly inviting from outside to be honest. The lady serving was very welcoming and friendly (she even turned the heater on and sat us near it). The food was exceptional, I had a goat curry and it fell off the bone, the spice level was fairly low, but they do have more powerful curries on the menu. For me it was great, there were many layers of flavour, I could tell that the chef knows how to make a proper curry. came here on a cool Tuesday night. welcomes with a warm and friendly reception. all the food we ordered was of the highest quality. naan brot was very light and fluffy also the kashmiri naan was delicious. the tar was very tasteful. really pleasantly surprised to discover it was under new property... it was really one of the best Indian meal we had in a long time. we will be back
imli is an Indian restaurant on the promenade in joondalup. they have an extensive menu that includes several vegetarian and vegan options. we found out that we ask the waiting staff to make the dishes milk free, they replaced cocos milk and cocosnus yogurt where they could. veggie samosas are a great starter option, but rather fill.
came to lunch here and had the butter chicken and the simple naan. naan was soft and light. butter chicken sauce was really delicious, but the chicken wasn't the best quality. good value at $12 for lunch. would return for a vegetarian court.

best indian in joondalup what lets them down is the hidden extras (stimuli etc.) that should be included in the set menu, but is not otherwise a local gem!
Excellent food with a great ambience. Friendly staff. A wide variety of food to choose from. Especially liked the starters, specifically the tandoori ones.
Very delicious Authentic Indian food, great service, beautiful ambiance and very reasonably priced. Definitely A must visit place for Indian food lovers.
