Normally I would NEVER give a bad review.. but I'm hoping this will help the restaurant. The food was very bland, overcooked and took forever to come out. I have to say, I've eaten at the Islands in Long Beach, and it was AMAZING! So I was reallydisappointed here. Especially because I hyped it up to my family and it was their first time here. Despite having no reservation and two groups of seven people, we were seated within five minutes. The service was great and the staff were on top of refilling drinks. The service was great and we had extra sauces and to go boxes for some of our food. My only complaint would be the lack of paper menus since only one of us were scan the QR code on the table to access the digital menu.
I was really looking forward to a nice night out to watch the game and enjoy a burger. Service was soooo slow! It really was so bad that everything else was done. Eating slowly came, the order in was slow, it should be called slowly land. I saw more flirting staff than food. I'm not going back to this place.
Islands serves amazing truffle fries, and their burgers are really delicious. Even though I'm not typically a burger fan, this is one of the rare places where I genuinely enjoy them. The ambiance is pleasant, as it's not too hectic. During my last visit, the service was outstanding.

I recently had a severe case of food poisoning after dining at this restaurant, which led to a really unpleasant night. I will not be returning there again. Furthermore, I emailed my details to the address provided, but it's been almost a week and I still haven't heard back.
The food was absolutely delicious and the service was exceptional. The new manager, Susan, and our server, Melissa, provided wonderful service. I would give it a ten out of ten and definitely recommend this restaurant!
