I hate to be this person but I’m leaving this in hopes that.. I don’t know, a manager or owner see this and cares. You are understaffing your restaurant if a bartender doesn’t have time to be attentive to the 3 people sitting at their bar. This is the second time with the same bartender and manager working and zero bar guests that I’ve come in just to be completely ignored. It’s happy hour, and your bar is empty. Don’t you want to try and over feed us and let us have more than one round? It’s 4 PM, we didn’t show up 5 minutes before your HH ends. Foods adequate and we love a HH but margs are typically weak and service continues to be atrocious recently.
I ordered the Baja Burrito lunch special, and it was good, although the refried beans had a little bit too much spice for me. One of the others at my table ordered a cheese-free vegan-type dish, but the food that arrived did have cheese, which was a problem. So my experience was that the menu food was good but... be cautious when ordering something that is not standard. Service was good, and the restaurant was clean and well kept.
I truly believe this is the best one in the KC metro. I visit Jose Peppers often and most are still good but this one the food is always amazing. And the service is always great and they are possibly the fastest restaurant I have been to. This location specifically I will go out of my way if I'm in the area to eat lunch there even if I wasn't planning on going out for lunch
I enjoy all the Jose Pepper's locations, but this one is my favorite because of the great service and more spacious seating. The chips and salsa are tasty. The Monterey burrito and chicken fajitas are excellent. You can also request black beans instead of refried beans. Portions are generous and prices are reasonable.

We visited Jose Pepper's for dinner last night. I usually order the Tacos al Carbon, but the menu has changed. Our waitress recommended another steak taco, saying it was the same as the Tacos al Carbon. It was nothing like it and honestly, it was awful. Please bring back the Tacos al Carbon!
I really enjoyed their crispy chips, and the salsa was so refreshing! The food portions were huge—definitely enough for two meals. I ordered the carnitas, and it far exceeded my expectations. Everything was delicious, and the service was quick. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!
Customer service is over and above! What a pleasure to deal with the wait staff on a to go order. Very accomodating and friendly. Food was to satisfaction! I will definitely go back when I am in town. Thank you for making customer service a priority!
At this price point, it's truly impressive! I say this in the best possible way. It's not pretentious Mexican cuisine, but rather simple, delicious dishes made with fresh ingredients in a welcoming atmosphere.

The shrimp was overcooked, and the service was rather slow. I ended up waiting 45 minutes just to get my bill.
