On a Saturday afternoon in April, my hubby and I was craving for Cantonese food and was in the area. We parked on the street and it was empty inside. They are open for indoor dining but decided on take out. We ordered 6 dishes from their lunch menu and waited in the seating area. The staff are nice and friendly. The wait wasn't too long -beef chow fun dry, chicken chow mein, honey fried pork chop, sweet sour pork, cashew chicken and shrimp and free rice. Best honey walnut shrimps EVER! I found out about Joys through SGV Eats on facebook and have been coming here every time I get a chance. The one dish we always get is the honey walnut shrimp but their french style filet mignon is amazing as well. We always got the 5 dish combo that also comes with rice and chef's choice of soup. It's such a great deal where the whole family gets to decide and enjoy a bunch of different dishes. The included soups are clear and delish! This restaurant opened during the pandemic so they have not been able to do dine in yet. Parking is on the street but so far, it's been easy to find a spot.
Saw a handful of raving reviews/posts in SGV eat group about Joys Unique decided to make the drive out to Temple City to try it out. Ordered their salted fish eggplants, walnut shrimp, salt and pepper wings. Overall portions were generous but weren't tasty enough to revisit. Every dish we had was extremely oily especially the salted fish eggplants. I felt greased down and just didn't feel good after eating their food. Maybe this would be a great option for the ppl in their teens and early 20s... but my aging stomach just couldn't take it.

I highly recommend ordering from the new dinner combo menu; it's definitely worth the price considering the portion sizes and quality of the dishes. Great job! Just keep in mind that it's available for takeout only. If you choose to dine in and order from the regular menu, the prices are higher, but the portions are massive. The food is incredibly delicious, and the service is excellent!
I attended a company dinner at this restaurant, and it was excellent. We made a reservation in advance and had a private room for ourselves. The dishes were cooked to perfection, and I truly enjoyed the Cantonese-style dinner, especially since it's been a while since the pandemic.
The prices are reasonable, and the food is delicious. They have recently started offering dine-in service. You can place orders online through their website, use a third-party service, or simply call in for takeout.
This has been our go-to Chinese restaurant since Covid began. It’s great Cantonese style food, but I did knock of a star because the prices have gone up quite a bit since we started buying from them.

2 dish, soup and rice for $30 is expensive for takeout. Food is good though. I might try again at lunch time to see if price is cheaper for 2 dishes, soup and rice.
