The young man who assisted me today explained that the menu had 2 sides: one side a more traditional American menu, the other side a latin mix menu. I chose this place because they advertise to have cuban food and café cubano. I've tried other places in Illinois claiming Cuban authentic foods but have been very disappointed. I am cuban and am a long ways from home. So, finding the right place is important : They do offer the traditional strong cuban coffee that I've been craving for months. Are you uncertain as to whether you have a taste for Mexican food, Cuban or Guatemalan food? Well this place had it all. It's a small place on North Ave close to 25th Street in Melrose Park. Don't go to fast otherwise you might pass it up. Turn around if you pass it up cause the food is really a treat and the prices are pretty low, considering the quantity and quality of food you get. Jouniors grill was a wonderful surprise. The meal looks like it was served in a 5 star restaurant. Everything was fresh. This plate mofongo with fried pork was excellent. Should you order it ask for a side of broth to put on the plantain ball it will complement your experience when mixing meat plantian and the rice. Looking forward to sample other dishes that caught my eye.
Had to add this place on Google maps.. nice little hidden spot.. they seriously have alot on there menus.. Breakfast,Latin and American food. French Toast, Eggs and Bacon where good. Place very well maintained.
