This small family run restaurant is a hidden gem - seats approx. 40 people and we’ve been going there for about 17 years. They are consistent with their dishes and provide friendly service. Be sure to book on weekends and it’s BYO (Coles Liquorland is just around the corner which is convenient). Recommend the Katsu Salmon (lovely golden baked crumb), chilli scallops served on sizzling hotplate and the Aburi Salmon (5 pieces - great for entree). This is a really good value restaurant and highly recommend it for a relaxed meal.
Tried to get a table for 2 on a Friday night at 6pm.We were turned away as they said the restaurant was fully booked.We noticed all the tables had reserved on them but there was no one seated at them.As we have been here before,we know you can get a good meal and be back out the door under the hour.You can't tell me all the people were going to turn up before 7pm.Next time I might suggest they be a bit proactive and maybe keep a table or two open for walk ins or potential double sittings.
Nice selection of food,all served nice and hot.My favourite would be the Oriental Pancakes.Also good sushi dishes available.In fact the restaurants seems to be in the process of changing its name to Caringbah Sushi.There were plenty of tables available tonight but I would suggest you book ahead.Very reasonably prices meals.Located around the corner from railway station
As always; the beautiful bride, mr and s good bottle of white wandered up.Vegetarian spring rolls; zebu Tempura (this is obligatory; and superb every time), teriyaki chicken (always ordered), beef bulgogi & white rice.Never fails to please. People, service & atmosphere are brilliant every time

Kana Kawa is our favourite restaurant and the best Japanese in The Shire!!.It is the most delicious food and very inexpensive, we take all our family and friends often.The staff are very pleasant and it is always packed and now very popular, so make sure you book to get a table
Dinner with the family (2 adults, 3 kids), loved it. Kids thought edamame, sushi and chicken Katsura were all really good. The sashimi, salmon and tempura we had were beautiful. Great value for money & service was excellent. We will definitely be back.
Well air conditioned, spacious restaurant. Quick service, great food and very reasonably priced. We had 2 entrees, 2 mains (prawn and pork dishes - very generous with the prawns), 2 steamed rice and 2 soft drinks for $65! Amazing.
Was here for dinner with friends. Not knowing what to expect, I was impressed with the quality and variety of food. It was just as well we booked, as the restaurant was full. Would happily return.

My husband and I frequent this establishment because it's quick, easy to park and always beautiful food. Can't fault this place. We'll keep going back!
So expensive, waitress was... An idiot. Food was bad. Chicken snitzel on rice. Two stars because there aren't a lot of options in caringbah.
