Relatively new restaurant in Concord and very much in a traditional style with an elegant comfortable decor. Only seats some 30 people with some around the sashimi bar, so booking is advised. Mainly Japanese staff, particularly the raw fish chef, usually a good sign. Service can be a little tentative, but is courteous, therefore overall satisfactory. I was very excited that we have a new Japanese restaurant in rhodos central. the staff were very friendly and decoration was beautiful. I was a bit disappointed by the chirashi don. it can be better to get the Chirashi don without the suggested supposed option. sushi roll tasted very good overall, but the sushi was not really in shape and fell apart as soon as they pick it up with their chipstick. Hopefully, eating will improve in the next few months.
This Japanese restaurant near my home is fantastic. If you're in search of an authentic local Japanese dining experience, look no further. The service is outstanding, and the chef is very attentive. The sashimi and nigiri were incredibly fresh. I highly recommend trying the gyoza—the filling is as close to what you would find in Japan. Overall, I definitely recommend this place!
Bianca: I am a little late to the party in regards to my new found obsession with Japanese food, namely, sushi. These days it’s a craving I can’t satiate, as I’m constantly on the hunt for my next sushi fix. Komatsu is relatively new in Concord, residing in a former fish come souva shop. The space is small and intimate but undoubtedly the most coveted seats are at the Sushi bar.

I tried several dishes, and they were all delicious. The tuna bell sashimi was divine! It was fresh and flavorful. There wasn't much variation, but it was still excellent. The hot salmon dish was also great—absolutely divine! The wasabi leaves were a new experience for me, and they were very tasty! If I were a local, I'd definitely visit more often.
We were recommended the Nagasaki noodles the last time we were here, and we decided to order it this time around. It definitely did not disappoint! The karaage yaki soba was good as well, the karaage was lightly battered so we could taste more of the chicken. Definitely becoming one of our favourite Japanese eating place in Sydney.
more of a 3.5 star. the teriyaki Bento box was good, a little different from other places and the ingredients were fresh. eating took a reasonable time to get out. the prizes are also for what they get.
Absolutely impressive sushi. I don't say this lightly but best sushi I've ever had! Everything is absolutely delicious. Such a hidden gem. Only locals know about! Definitely should try.

I finally popped in here today. Very fresh clean food, recommend. I will be back soon. I thought Matt Moran was dining in for lunch, if it was not Matt he has a twin.
