I arrived jet-lagged and hungry and wandered out of the hotel to find dinner to kickstart my visit. Koolba was just the meal I needed. I had their special, lamb shank rogan josh with saffron rice--the lamb was so melt in your mouth tender and great balance of flavor with the spices in the Rogan Josh, lots of flavor from traditional spices but not hot, and served with saffron rice. Lamb Rogan Josh is one of my favorite Indian curries back home, and the same, only so much better with the lamb shank! Wow! The mango lassi was cool, mellow and not too sweet. As usual, I and Mrs. decided to go here for some dinner, first time! Everything was perfect, including service from staff. The only thing we personally didn't like was the table we got in the as it was corner and a little tight. Stared off with poppadoms and chutneys. Excellent bite-size starter for two. For Mains, we had the Chicken Tikka Punjabi with some cheese Nan's and just a side of Masala Chips. Given how busy it was, we were seated and served quite quickly. Lovely restaurant, really good food, nice cocktails and the prices were great. Was in for a late lunch on a Friday afternoon, the place was pretty quiet. The food was very tasty from the set menu, we all got a cocktail to start, a two course meal, a bottle of wine for the table and a very large beer. The bill for 5 of us was under £160, which is pretty terrific.
I had a fantastic birthday meal here last night with family. The food is always beautiful as is the decor. All of the staff are so friendly and welcoming and offer perfect service. They even sang happy birthday to me which was so sweet of them. Highly recommend!

An amazing selection of dishes. Some traditional and favourites. The staff are fantastic, the atmosphere and setting is amazing and of course the food and drink is brilliant.
